My students will benefit from the use of these teacher-created materials which will inspire them to want to read and write like their grade level friends. Materials like articles, books, and games that will teach skills such as decoding, fluency, and comprehension are available resources for teachers like me to use.
Although I am in a position to help many students improve their literacy skills, I have not been given funds or materials with which to teach these children. The resources I have been using come from my own research and monetary contributions.
I want my students to have the best teacher, using the best research-based materials available and that requires funding.
