These books will help grow our library in the classroom, providing my students with a greater variety of reading books that they can not only enjoy reading, but also take comprehension tests on. As a first year teacher, I do not have a lot of books that have comprehension tests (Reading Counts). These books that I have added in my project all have a Reading Counts tests that will help motivate my students to read, as well as allow them to measure their comprehension of reading various books.
My students absolutely love reading, and they are constantly working to improve their reading levels. Most of my students have limited access to books outside of school, and providing them with these books in the classroom that they may also take home to read will allow them to further embrace reading! These books are so essential for them, especially this year, due to the past year of distance learning. These books will give my students the opportunity to not only explore various books, but also allow them to develop their reading skills that will benefit them in both their present and future endeavors.
