Headphones will limit distractions and keep students on task during independent learning activities. They will be used in class and at home. Some learning outcomes will be addressed via khan academy and zearn. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Headphones are great for the kids because they can practice on their own, get comfortable and then plug into the system to help in more than just math. As they progress, they will be able to do team and independent work to build mathematical skills and to be able to practice socialization after independent work. They will be able to take these with us when we travel and plug them into the sound system to stay focused in every environment. The headphone sets will play many roles in the program for the students in and out of school. First and foremost, it will give all students a chance to disengage in class without sensory overload. They can control the volume while they play, use headphones to block out other noises, and continue to practice without the other distractions.
