Middle School is a critical time for adolescents to grow academically and socially. Through their growth, there are stories to tell and memories to capture. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to help my students visualize their stories and memories that are documented through photos printed by the color printer that I am respectfully requesting for purchase via Donors Choose. This tool/gift can make a difference for my students academically and socially.
Photos are powerful and carry unforgettable moments, allowing you to remember what's important. One can relive that event or moment (now a memory) that was captured through the photos. Other students can learn from one's preserved stories and captured memories through photos.
Moreover, photos can influence and impact students academically and socially. Photos can serve as art and teaching artifacts as they are boldly displayed on the walls in my classroom and beyond, displaying students engaged in learning (reading, writing, speaking, participating and cooperating in group work), doing acts of kindness, attending extracurricular events, etc. The culture of the classroom and beyond can be impacted greatly. Students will be a part of an environment that creates, promotes and documents students' growth, ultimately encouraging all participants to add their stories and capture their memories of "growth" to the learning community.
