These materials will provide my students with hands on learning opportunities to develop number sense, letter recognition and early literacy skills. My students have special needs and benefit from high interest manipulatives that will keep their attention on the activity. All of the manipulatives in this project will help develop their fine motor skills as well and work on developing the small muscles of the hand which helps them develop pre writing skills.
