The use of the iPad will allow me and the students to explore the contents of Geometry and the Number System (NACSS) standards more interactively and visually. Students experienced a significant slide during the shutdown; especially in math because math was very challenging to teach and learn during the peak of the pandemic online. The iPad can assist me in the classroom to address individual student needs and to demonstrate concepts directly on the projector while I am assisting individual students. It will give me mobility, the ability to teach and assist all at the same time.
It will be extremely helpful with these standards: Geometry Standard: Math 6.G.A4 Represent three-dimensional figures using nets made up of rectangles and triangles, and use the nets to find the surface area of these figures. Apply these techniques in the context of solving real-world and mathematical problems and Standard: Math 6.NS.C8 Solve real-world and mathematical problems by graphing points in all four quadrants of the coordinate plane. Include use of coordinates and absolute value to find distances between points with the same first coordinate or the same second coordinate
