Growing up, I hardly ever read stories about individuals going through experiences similar to my own because I didn't realize such books existed. I got lost in books filled with mythical creatures and fantasy worlds because I felt it was better than the life I was living. It wasn't until I began attending college that I truly understood the power of experiencing characters with stories similar to my own. My experiences held power, power enough that others may want to read about them.
