These materials will help replenish our very limited supply in our classroom. Writing utensils and sensory items are frequently used, along with our growing classroom library of reading materials. To help promote reading, our students need increased access to books on their reading levels based upon their interests.
These items were chosen and researched by our students in an effort to help them identify their educational wants and needs. They have communicated a desire increase the use of games for their brain breaks, and have found a new interest in using yoga to improve their coping strategies for stress and anxiety. Additionally, our students are learning organizational strategies for where to put classroom and personal materials so that they respect the shared space of their classroom community.
