Our Intellectual Disabilities (InD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) students will be participating in a student-driven business with faculty, staff, and peer support within our school setting. While our students' peers graduate and begin college studies or enter the workforce, our students remain in high school until age twenty-two.
Our Eagles Corner and Café will be one of our school's based enterprise programs that promote social, communication, economic and personal skills. Our program's goal is to enhance students' confidence, financial awareness, and communication skills in order to prepare them to become self-sustaining adults. Your donation for our cafe's equipment such as an espresso machine and a table and stool set will teach the students hands-on experience. For many, practicing these skills over and over on the equipment that you could provide would be greatly appreciated. This project will provide real-life exposure to skills that will be needed for them to earn a paycheck and live a meaningful life with their family.
