I hope to use the materials from Teachers Pay Teachers to support our students across many domains. As a member of the Response to Intervention (RtI) team at our school, I meet with various stakeholders within the school to collect data about student's academic skills and social-emotional functioning, set goals for our students to strive for, implement a variety of interventions, and monitor students' response to these interventions and their progress toward their goals.
I hope to build a library of resources that I can use with our students as they work toward their academic and/or behavioral goals. I would like to become more involved with the assessment, intervention implementation, and progress monitoring that is involved in a successful RtI process and these resources will be invaluable in helping me to expand my role in this way. I indirectly support many students throughout our school by developing plans to support their academic and social-emotional-behavioral success. I would like to spend more time working directly, 1:1 with students who are struggling with their academic or their social-emotional development. Rather than spending the time to develop my own resources, I would love to take advantage of the many resources that other educators have already created on Teachers Pay Teachers. These resources will include assessment measures to determine which skills students need to practice. Additionally, there are intervention activities/resources on the site that I can use when working 1:1 with our struggling students. Lastly, there are progress monitoring tools on the site that I can use when working with students to keep data and determine if they are making progress toward their academic or social-emotional goals that the RtI team has established for them. I will be able to use this data at our conversations at RtI meetings!
