The materials and supplies I am requesting are specifically targeting the sensory needs of my students. Having a rug will allow students to make a choice on where they want to sit in speech because sometimes it is hard to sit in a chair for too long. Tactile balls, an exercise ball, and magnetic toys are great tools to target stimulation for students that need arousal or just need a break.
All of these activities target sensory needs in addition to allowing the students to make choices to help them have fun while targeting their specific needs.
