Staying at home during Covid-19 took a toll on children with autism and other disabilities. Severe behaviors and non-compliance increased. As a behavioral specialist I am here to provide structure and teach appropriate behaviors but I can not do that with out tools.
Children with special needs require motivation, inspiration, and tools to better help them communicate and participate in school. I have picked sensory and educational toys and tools that motivate and reinforce appropriate behaviors. Without motivation and incorporating interests into school day compliance goes down and severe behaviors increase.
