Many of my students are overwhelmed with reading because it takes them much longer to read a chapter book than their peers. Graphic novels are engaging, accessible, and spark an interest that can hook students to begin reading for fun. ELL students also benefit from the visual representation of the characters and actions. In addition, the flexible seating will help my students to focus as well. Some students need the option of movement to be engaged and focused. The stools wobble, but don’t make noise or take up much space.

About my class
