The purpose of this grant is to provide my students with a colorful rug and big book easel to make our learning area more inviting and engaging. The rug will be used in the front of the room during our daily interactive read aloud. Having a rug will help us build our communication/partner work skills and increase focus. The easel will be used during instructional time to hold big books and model activities for students. Currently, we are only able to use a short whiteboard that students in the back of the classroom are unable to see. My co-teacher and I waste instructional time moving the board and copying materials so students in the back can see. With this new board, all students will be able to access content easily.
