My students have had a rough couple of years. It's hard to get back into "normal" settings in the classroom. I want to change that!
I do daily ticket drawings to increase timeliness and participation in my students. Since I started this drawing, more of my students have been coming to class on time and are prepared for the day. We have been doing this for one quarter and I want to continue this throughout the year and get some awesome prizes for the drawings. Each item in the cart will go towards a student as a prize. I have included some snacks as well to keep their energy up.
We will use the Eggspert to participate in whole class review games. The bigger items in the cart such as the board games, lanyards, socks, drawing pads will be used for the weekly drawings. The smaller items such as the fidget toys, snacks, pens, and bookmarks will be used for the daily drawings. I have also added some basic classroom supplies for students such as pencils, erasers, and rulers.
I want to encourage my students to participate more during class and to have fun! Students have been more eager to speak up during discussions. They work hard and should be rewarded for this! I have been spending my own money on these prizes and it would help out a lot if I could get some help.
