My students are starting their journey to drawing and painting realistically. This project is a fairly lengthy endeavor. The students are going to have to take their skills (and patience) to the limits. Students will be using panels, paints, colored paper and pencils, charcoal, and other materials to represent the world around them how they see it. They will be focusing on still life, portraiture, and landscapes, and they will have the final say in what their project is going to be and telling me (and hopefully a gallery show full of people!) what their pieces mean to them. I want this tough subject to be as engaging and rewarding to them as possible, and I'd love your help doing that.
