Some of these supplies will supplement what we already have. For instance, the classroom has small white boards that the kids will be using for games and for quick understanding checks during class. Unfortunately, we don't have any markers or erasers for the kids to use. We also have a projector but no laptop to use at the moment so I will be using my iPad to project work and other activities.
The kids also benefit from having anchor charts throughout the room to remind them of the many math concepts, formulas, vocabulary, and more. We're constantly making more charts as we move along and are quickly running out of supplies.
Also on this list is flexible seating, in the form of wobble stools. This is a great option for kids who like to keep moving. We want to meet the kids where they are and if moving is what they need to do, then moving is what they will do while also learning.
