A “life skill” is a skill that is necessary every day, a skill that a person needs to get through life. Through coffee cart our student in grade K-5 Primary and Intermediate Autism Programs at Triggs Elementary are able to build and develop social and communication skills through this project base instruction.
The Life skills that are practice with Coffee Cart includes following a recipe, sequencing of steps tasks and activities, filling orders, building and developing appropriate social skills, sharing/turn-taking, peer-peer work, basic number recognition, reading and comprehension, health, and hygiene.
