I am requesting a class set of headphones. Many of my students struggle with reading. Directions and word problems can be read aloud to them by the computer but can be very distracting in class without headphones. Students can use headphones for listening to audible books, learning videos, and activities during class. They can even use them during online district and state testing.
I've tried to keep a supply of headphones in my class but my supply has dwindled over time. I think a good quality set of headphones will work better and last longer than the less expensive kind I have been supplying.
I allow my students to check out headphones for the day to be used in their general education classrooms but they do not take them home. These headphones would only be used at school.
