These games will help students learn important mathematical skills along with reading comprehension strategies that they otherwise might not get in a regular classroom setting. Working with small groups these games will help build interpersonal skills as well as educational goals. Many of my students come from low income homes and do not have the opportunity to play games at home with their families. These games will provide a social emotional learning aspect to their educational goals. My students also like to work towards a goal and I am including small prizes for them to work towards.
