I believe that reading is vital to a students educational growth! In my High School English classroom I love to build an engaging curriculum with diverse texts that help students dive into different cultural backgrounds that are different than their own. I think it is important to build an inclusive curriculum where all my students feel included and represented in the novels that I read. I like to use real issues that are going on in the world and relate them to what they are reading. I believe that the novels I have chosen for my classroom help open the minds of the young readers I am teaching!
