In Pre-K we learn and develop our skills by learning through play. Pre-K students need hands-on activities, visuals, and real life experiences to learn and grow. My ultimate goal is to accommodate each child to meet their best needs during small group. During these groups I have children that need a special seating to fulfill their sensory needs in order for them to focus.
These small groups need visuals such as counters to count and feel, add, and determine things like less or more. I believe that having an area set up for small group will allow all kinds of learners to learn as I would have an area of multi-sensory material available.
