These materials would be very beneficial for the students in my classroom as they would give my students more opportunities to explore different tools that could help them in the future. For example one of these tools I have picked are tactile letters that can be used for a light table. This would be used to help teach my visually impaired student the alphabet.
The majority of these tools will help create a diverse environment that gives them opportunities to learn in their own ways, along with creating a safe and enjoyable place to learn. With different items that will create sensory input to make these students feel safe and give them choices.
These items will open up new ways of learning and new ways to adapt that otherwise would be very limited to these students.
The rug and textured mats will help these students learn to differentiate textures that could be later used to help communicate or to help with a schedule.
The nugget, is an okay couch area that will help the students come up with creative ways to build new things, along with make them comfortable in the school environment.
