These headphones will be an asset to each of the students in my classroom. For students who have an Individual Learning Plan, headphones will benefit these students because they will be able to use speech-to-text to help them write an essay that they had difficulty writing. For my English Language Learners headphones are crucial in helping them with their WIDA testing. If each student is provided a set of their own headphones they will have an opportunity to use them when needed, whether it be for a lesson, to practice for an upcoming speaking and listening test, or for students to grow independently while playing educational games.
With the use of headphones, they will be provided the opportunity to hear themselves speak through a microphone so that they are able to grow in their speech especially when English is not their first language.
