The project I will be running for students as a mental health specialist is about managing negative emotions such as anxiety, depression, anger, and stress in a positive manner. Students will learn how to manage and recognize when they feel overwhelmed and manage those feelings through play, fidget toys, and sand tray. I will develop lessons about anxiety, stress, and depression and find ways to help students recognize big emotions and self regulate. The goal of the project is to provide opportunities to express emotions in a safely and responsibly.
