My students come from diverse economical backgrounds. During a writing lesson, they wrote letters to Santa Clause. These toys are on their wish lists. Students will open up these gifts the day before they go on Winter break. This will make a difference in their learning because they will realize they are a part of a community. When students feel like they are part of a community, they are more engaged and their learning is more effective. These gifts would bring smiles and joy to my students. Thank you for taking the time to read this!
