My students will create presentations for their families and friends, along with faculty and staff. Most of my students are from impoverished areas of the city and 95% of our students are from families who receive government assistance.
Our students will learn how to professionally sanitize their lab stations, before and after preparing various food items. Students will be well versed in creating budgets and creating menus to present to the class. Students will build culinary and household managerial skills to create displays. Students will also create place settings and themes, along with recipes. By having hands-on experiences, my students will be acclimated to formal and informal culinary settings. Additionally, students will be able to build meaningful relationships.
