In our classes, we design in the virtual, and then create in the physical. The students take their designs and then 3D print or laser cut them into actual objects. The materials provided will be used in the student objects.
Students can create at home or in school, and then have their projects printed or cut at school for them. There should be no limits to their creativity, whether in school, or at home. Having the materials allows the students to learn the skills, and prototype their projects. These are skills they can take into the job market.
