Students will benefit greatly from flexible seating options. Many of my students have attention deficits and struggle to concentrate during lessons. Research proves that providing students with various forms of seating and giving them opportunities to wiggle/move during instruction greatly improves their ability to pay attention to the lessons. Wobble chairs and bean bags offer nontraditional seating options to students who cannot stay seated in regular student chairs/desks and provide chances to fidget during the lessons without hindering other students.
Students with special needs thrive in environments that provide physical activities in which they can actually participate successfully. Often they cannot participate in regular PE classes due to their physical limitations and gross motor deficits. My classroom will greatly benefit from resources that help provide more appropriate outdoor activities for Students with disabilitites.
