These supplies that I am requesting already have a "place" in my classroom. As a first year Kindergarten teacher, I am anxious to be able to create a learning environment for my students where they feel valued and can be kids. I know as an adult how hard it is to sit in one place all day long, I can only imagine at 5 and 6 years old how hard it is. I would love to have these seating options to give my students more freedom and flexibility within our classroom. I will allow them to choose their seat each day, and possibly switch throughout the day based on behavior. The clipboards and lap trays will allow them to sit somewhere of their choice while also having something to write on so they can complete their work.
