I am a first-year teacher, which means I do not have many funds to provide the kind of materials needed for a rich learning environment. I really want to provide the tools for young children to explore, discover, and develop their social-emotional skills.
The items requested will allow the environment to have learning centers that provide the young learners with opportunities to grow in a STEAM curriculum environment.
I believe the requested materials will make a difference in their school day. My hope is that they go home with a smile, tell their parents of what they learned, and are excited for the next school day to learn even more.
The following items will make a difference by:
1. Toddler Career Costume Set & My first shaving and styling Kit will provide the students to develop strong social-emotional skills through dramatic play with their friends.
2. Engineer a Coaster set & I can build it Architecture set will provide my students with the opportunity to grow their critical thinking and engineering skills in a STEAM curriculum environment.
3. Ready to write color sorting kit gives my students the opportunity to develop their fine motor skills, critical thinking, and sorting skills they need to prepare them for kindergarten.
4. Float and find number bubbles & the Squeeze scoop count ice cream shop will provide a center for my students to practice their number recognition and counting skills while providing a sensory center opportunity with water for the number bubbles and a dramatic play area with the ice cream scoops.
5. Finally, the mix and match magnetic wild animals will provide my students with the opportunity to learn more about animals, their body parts, and the scientific discovery of magnetic force.
