Due to COVID shut down for the entire year, my students lacked hand-on experience in middle school. I want to help them to become more excited and motivated about science and school in general. It is hard to keep students motivated to learn while trying to fill in content gaps from previous years.
Students are excited to show up to class in anticipation of hands-on learning. Dissecting will enable students to physically experience and recognize differences and similarities among species' anatomical structures and adaptations.
Unfortunately with budget cuts during pandemic and remote learning, our school was unable to provide teachers with such opportunities.
