I'd like to share my love of a good book with the wonderful novel "Because of Winn-Dixie". Many of my students are missing one or both parents and need to be able to see characters that they identify with. I want them to know that they are not alone. I'd be using the story to foster a love of reading as well as to work on comprehension activities. We will be working on summary, main idea, vocabulary, and theme as we read though the story. Thank you for your consideration and help.
