Of the materials requested, the hydrometer will be used by one student to complete their Internal Assessment for their IB exam. This student wants to experiment with sugar levels and their effects on Kombucha. The hydrometer will be used to measure ethanol production in this experiment. KCIA students want to learn about plant pigments, but they cannot see them without chromatography! The chromatography lab is a required practical by the IB program, and the students would love to have a hands-on experience with this as opposed to a simulation! We currently do not have the materials to conduct this experiment, so it would mean a lot to the students at KCIA!

About my class
