I believe that students learn best when they can learn at their own pace. I have set up a structure in my classroom where traditional lectures are replaced by instructional videos (created by me!) that students can pause and re-watch at their own pace. This helps students who are absent or quarantined to stay on pace and allows my faster learners to move on with their learning while I work with small groups.
The only thing that is holding us back is that not all of my students have their own headphones. This means that some students listen to the videos very quietly or with the volume off altogether - missing out on some of the content. Students also like to collaborate by watching the videos and taking notes together. Headphones and splitters would allow this collaboration to happen. The organization chart will allow me to keep track of the headphones and keep them in good condition for years to come.
