My students are bright young minds ready to make changes in the world, even at the young age of five. Our school is home to a large number of English Language Learners who need the exposure to literature to enrich their learning experiences. My young Kindergarten class is full of children who are eager to begin their reading and writing experience and who challenge me every day to deliver new and exciting methods of instruction. It would be wonderful to bring in some new language arts tools to enhance small group instruction as well as literacy center time. Kindergarteners need to explore different learning modalities to develop the ability to be successful in every succeeding grade level. I want to give them the tools they will need to become amazing young people who will hopefully lead us to a better and brighter future. I know they would appreciate the ability to use these learning tools to expand their horizons and to explore alternate ways of learning. Worksheets just don't cut it in the 21st century!
