While I could offer my students PDFs of the play, physical books allow students to engage directly and deeply with the text through annotation! Annotation is one of the most effective ways of getting students to analyze texts thoroughly.
Nearly all of my students are college-bound, and an intimate connection with Shakespeare's texts at such a young age will help to prepare them for the rigor of university and beyond.
