The materials I am requesting will be used in the classroom. I would like students to have a variety of phonics center activities to practice independently while I lead guided reading groups.
The donations to this project will not only help students be better readers, it will also assist in taking their speech to print.
I am using the Secret Stories brain based approach to phonics instruction. This involves helping students crack the reading code as well as empower them to be more successful writers. These activities will boost students' confidence and help close the gap created by last year's distance learning. In addition, it will provide quality work for students which frees me up to work with small groups to meet students' individual needs.
