We have established a clothing closet at our school to help students to remain at school to learn. Students will not be sent home because they do not have clothing to wear or sit in the office waiting on parents to be contacted. The closet helps them to minimize loss of instructional time due to waiting on clothing.
The clothing closet serves a few purposes: It helps when a child becomes sick such as vomiting or a nose bleed. It helps when a child has an accident such as not making it to the bathroom, tears/rips, falls in, and stains clothes. It helps when a child has a dress code violation. If a child needs dressy attire for a school function or special ceremony, such as Beta Club Induction, promotion ceremonies. Parents can remain at work or home and the students are able to return to class to continue learning.
We have received a large number of donations of clothing and we need more space to put the coats and dresses that have been received. The garment rack will aid in being able to quickly locate the appropriate sizes for the students to quickly return to class.
