I'm asking for headphones so my students can have some sort of privacy during the times they are testing or doing their iReady reading or math lessons. I believe headphones will also limit distractions and temptations from their peers so they can get the most out of their iReady math and reading lessons. This will help them show growth. Only a few of my students have headphones from home, so I would like to see my whole class have their personal headphones. The privacy will definitely help during testing modes. My project is also requesting some power pens and power pen activities. I believe these engaging activity tools will help with closing the gap of missing concepts for some of my students. I specifically requested the multiplication and division activities for math because this is a critical skill they need to master before the end of the school year. For reading, I requested the reading comprehension power cards to build reading comprehension. Lastly, the daily journals would help them be accountable for their own learning while also strengthening their grammar skills and sentence structure skills. The daily math journals will allow for constant review on basic skills learned prior.
