These sensory tools will help students improve their focus, promote self-regulation, and increase participation in the classroom. Each tool will be available to meet the needs of every student who enters our classroom. The alternative seating will be used during small groups and individual instruction with students. The chair bands will be used to help fidgety students release some of their energy and remain focused on classwork. The visual timers are very beneficial for student breaks. All of these tools can also be used outside of the resource room in the general education setting. Our goal is to provide a warm, inviting, sensory-friendly environment that is beneficial to all students.
