Adding space for my students to go and learn while social distancing is just what my class needs. Being able to sit on the carpet allows them to get up from being confined in a desk. This would allow different seating options for my students so that they could be more comfortable while enjoying natural movement so they can stay engaged in their learning. Students will feel more empowered by having some degree of choice and control in their environment. Giving students the choices about their physical classroom space teaches them higher-order thinking skills.
