They will be able to come up and have a specific spot to sit and stay focused. This gives them a place where they feel they can come together as a whole class. I want the kids to be able to move around the room and not feel like their desk is the only place to learn. They should have another safe learning spot in the classroom. This also helps me to have them all together in a specific spot that they can call theirs and not have to fight over.
