My students need these ukulele's so that they can transfer their learning about music to an instrument I know they will enjoy playing. Currently, we play recorders, and while they definitely help in learning, that instrument is less applicable through their future if they choose not to join band. They may pick it up in a few years and remember "Hot Cross Buns." I would much rather that they are able to play a ukulele (or carry those skills over to guitar) around a campfire or sing along with their families. That's what these ukuleles will allow me to give my students.
