This project was created to add more cultural diversity to our bookshelf, block area and kitchen (dramatic play) area.
The books include characters that look like the children in the classroom, the children can relate to the stories, and the books encourage children to accept others even if they look or act differently than they do. The people and multicultural clothing will add diversity in the block area and the family house center.
This project will add materials to our classroom that allow students to embrace the diversity of the world - the differences and similarities in all of us.
