Two of the most popular areas in my classroom are the sensory table and writing center. These two areas of play give children a chance to feel and manipulate objects and strengthen their hands.
It is essential to have the right materials and props for these areas of play. Often times I collect items in nature and recycling to fill my sensory table. For the writing center, I find myself making homemade stencils and collecting different types of markers and paper with my own money. This project will allow me to change out materials more often. The Rainbow Aquarium Gravel will allow for hours of sensory fun and exploration for my students and the stencils will help draw students to the writing center and get them excited about strengthening their fine motor skills.
