Most of my students go home after school to empty houses or they are babysitting their younger siblings. They are responsible to fix meals for their families. My goal is to teach these students how to cook easy meals that are healthy.
Air fryers are a safe way for Jr High students to cook without getting hurt. Food comes out crispy on the outside while moist and tender on the inside. Air fryers provide a healthier alternative to conventional frying because they use very little or no oil during the cooking process.
By offering cooking classes it allows the students an opportunity to learn new methods of cooking. The students are able to go home and cook simple, healthier meals for their families, especially their younger siblings who they are usually babysitting.
