The voice recorders can be used in multiple ways including teacher assessment or oral work, improving student pronunciation and fluency, improving conversational speech, and student self-assessment. Students will have the ability to take these home where oral assignments can be recorded and then returned back to the teacher the following day. Other possible uses might include, having my class create voiceovers for scenarios depicted in videos (with the sound turned off!), magazine clippings, or stock images. These types of activities can be used to explore vocabulary surrounding feelings, greetings, small talk, describing likes/dislikes and scenes, storytelling, interjections, expressions, slang and more.
The Bananagrams word games will give my students fun low stressful opportunities to interact together as they test their language knowledge and abilities.
