I work as a Reading Specialist in a brand new 4th and 5th grade building, a position I transferred to at the very start of the Covid-19 pandemic. This left me with fewer supplies than usual for my new grade level. As the Covid-19 pandemic has left many students struggling with reading well into 4th and 5th grade I need some materials to continue to help them in a way that keeps them engaged. I have rediscovered my love and passion for teaching reading again this past year in light of taking LETRS training and discovering the Science of Reading. These materials will greatly help me teach my students effectively using all that I have learned this past year but will allow my students to have some quality materials to use at our new building. In small groups we are often working on word building and I need some magnetic letters for my board to show them visually as well as provide them with some decodable texts to read.
