Students will be comparing various methods of on-campus composting to reduce the throughput stream of our campus. We will set up locations to collect and process organic waste and study the effectiveness of various barrel or pile compost systems. This will incorporate the use of the composting bins, forks, spades, and flags. We are also expanding on-campus gardening and food production to reduce our carbon footprint.
The Ecology Club is working to increase the beauty and sustainability of our campus, community and country through multiple student-driven impact projects.
Students will apply their learning from class to create hands-on learning projects to change the behavior of the campus towards sustainability
